The Theory Time Level A workbook is a pre-music reader that teaches many concepts without the use of a staff. Students will learn high & low, left-hand & right-hand, music alphabet, finger numbers, two & three black-key groups on a keyboard, line & space notes, drawing & counting quarter, half & wholes notes and soft & loud. This workbook is for an early-beginning student and is the official study material for the Level A theory test in the NFMC Festivals theory-testing program.

The Theory Time Level B workbook is a pre-music reader that teaches left-hand & right-hand, keyboard geography, high & low, up & down, two & three black-key groups, music alphabet on a keyboard, finger numbers, letters & notes, drawing & counting quarter, half & whole notes on a line & in a space, counting quarter rests, staff, direction of a musical line, highest note and soft & loud. This workbook is for an early-beginning student and is the official study material for the Level B theory test in the NFMC Festivals theory-testing program.

Theory Time Primer Level workbook is perfect for a Kindergarten student or young 1st or 2nd grader! Staff sizes are large to accommodate fine-motor skills in this 59-page “theory fundamental" level workbook. Theory Time Grade One theory workbook is ideal for beginning level 1st, 2nd or 3rd grade students. This is a 51-page “theory fundamental" level workbook. This is a “Theory Fundamental” level workbook. Older beginners, older than age 8, should consider using the Bronze Medallion workbook (see the Medallion Series video on the home page). Many concepts are repeated and reviewed in each of the “Theory Fundamental” levels. This is to ensure that a firm foundation is set. This is a “Theory Fundamental” level workbook. Older beginners, older than age 8, should consider using the Bronze Medallion workbook. Many concepts are repeated and reviewed in each of the “Theory Fundamental” levels.

A beginning theory student should consider using the Bronze Medallion workbook prior to Grade Four to be sure theory fundamentals are solid. Grade Four is an early intermediate level workbook.

Theory Time Grade Five workbook is an early intermediate comprehensive theory workbook. Intended for students who have completed Theory Time Grade Four or Medallion Series Bronze level and includes lots of rhythm drills!

The Theory Time Medallion Series Bronze, 67-page workbook, covers the fundamentals of music theory. By working through the Bronze workbook, a student will cover concepts presented in Primer through Grade Three of the original workbook series. Upon completion of the Bronze workbook, the student will be ready to start the Grade Four workbook in the original Workbook Series or the Silver workbook in the Medallion Series.

The Theory Time Medallion Series Silver workbook is an 83-page workbook appropriate for students who have a thorough understanding of the Theory Fundamental concepts covered in the Bronze workbook or Primer through Grade 3 of the original Workbook Series. Upon completion of the Silver workbook, the student will be ready to enter Grade Six of the original workbook series or the Gold workbook in the Medallion Series. The Silver workbook covers the early intermediate level of music theory which includes the concepts taught in Grades Four and Five from the original workbook series.

The Theory Time Medallion Series Gold workbook covers the intermediate level of music theory. By working through the Gold workbook, a student will cover the concepts taught in Grades Six through Eight in the original workbook series. This workbook is appropriate for students who have a solid understanding of the Theory Fundamental and Early Intermediate levels (Primer through Grade 5 in the original Workbook Series.) The Gold workbook will prepare a student for the Advanced Levels in the original Workbook Series. Upon completion, a student will be ready to work in the Platinum Level or in the Grade Nine workbook of the original Workbook Series

The Theory Time Medallion Series Platinum workbook covers the Advanced levels of music theory. By working through the Platinum workbook, a student will cover the concepts taught in Grades Nine & Ten in the original workbook series. This workbook is appropriate for students who have a solid understanding of the Theory Fundamental through Intermediate levels (Primer through Grade 8 in the original Workbook Series.) The Platinum workbook will prepare a student for the College Prep Level in the original Workbook Series. Upon completion, a student will be ready to work in the Diamond Level or in the Grade Eleven workbook of the original Workbook Series.

The Theory Time Medallion Series Diamond workbook covers the College Prep levels of music theory. By working through the Diamond workbook, a student will cover the concepts taught in Grades Eleven & Twelve in the original workbook series. This workbook is appropriate for students who have a solid understanding of the Theory Fundamental through Advanced levels (Primer through Grade Ten in the original Workbook Series.) The Diamond workbook will prepare a student for an AP theory course and freshman college theory. Upon completion, a student will be ready to set the musical world on fire!
