Paper Airplane by Sara Tomlinson is an expressive and flowing piece at the late intermediate level. Students will find the chromatic scales and left-hand crossovers fun and impressive. Suitable for students for intermediates of all ages.

Dona Nobis Pacem is one of the most famous rounds which means "Grant Us Peace.” This arrangement by Sandra Zylstra is an evenly-leveled lyrical duet for two intermediate players.

Salute to the Troops is a military anthem medley for piano solo arranged by Sandra Zylstra. It includes the Army, Navy, and Marine anthems and is ideal for intermediates of all ages!

June is a dramatic solo for later intermediate pianists. The mysterious setting evokes the mood of a summer storm with tumultuous wind. Crashing pops of lightning punctuate the primary theme while arpeggiated flourishes mimic the downpour of sudden rain. This is one of a set of 12 month-titled pieces by Sarah Reaser O’Brien, NCTM.

Stately march by Sir Edward Elgar (1857 - 1934), Pomp and Circumstance March No. 1 (Trio). Often used as a graduation march and is traditionally the finale at the Last Night of the Proms. This arrangement by Gary Johnston is written in a homophonic chorale style suitable for most formal occasions.

Something on the Slide is a Satie-esque waltz composed by British composer Joanne Grifiths. The accompaniment is built on two positions, C and G, with octave leaps from the bass to the chord. Awareness of balance between the hands is needed for this, to bring out the melody.

Something like Glass, written by British composer, Joanne Griffiths is a study in consistent and even playing of triplets in the right hand, with changing clefs in the left hand that explore the outer areas of the keyboard. Intermediates will enjoy the essence of Philip Glass that flows through this evocative solo.
