This piece is wonderful! I have a student who has been struggling through movement 1, but when I brought out this piece it was the perfect fit! Her mom say spellbound on the sofa watching the expression her daughter's face.

I have that reticent, perpetually negative, everything is "too hard" student that I was ready to give up on. As a last ditch effort, I pulled out Smooth Sailing and asked if I could play a piece for her. When I finished, I asked her what she thought of it. With a rapt expression, she said "I loooove it!"
