Yes! All of the Super Soundtracks include versions with and without the student parts. The versions with the student parts included are intended to be reference tracks so students can hear the finished product.

Question:
The tempos are a bit fast, can they be slowed down?
Jennifer Eklund
Asked by Jennifer Eklundon June 27, 2021
Pinned question
Answer:
The tempos for the Super Soundtracks are set at performance speed and intended for student use once a piece has been sufficiently learned. If the tempo is still too fast, have a student practice with the soundtracks with just one hand at a time to start. With MIDI files (which are included for FREE when available) you can easily adjust the tempo on your digital instrument. For Mp3 users there are some apps available that will allow you to adjust the tempo without distorting or transposing the track.

I absolutely love having a studio license to these play-along tracks and using them in my studio! I send home CDs for students to use at home. I tell them to practice it on their own first (that's the learning phase), then play with the CD (that's the quiz phase), then at their lesson, we'll do it together with the teacher duet (which is different from their CD - that's the test!). I like that there are 4 tracks to each song in the book and that the tempos are so varied. Students are always able to play with the slow version, rather than it being too fast (like some I've seen). The fast version is great for students who are really motivated to get it. All in all, so glad I have these!

This is very useful to build up students' interest in feeling the beat!
