I had received this piece in hardcopy a while back. I recently had a student finish this piece and played it with such zest. I can tell it will be one of her ones to showcase often this year. I can't wait to share it with a few others also!

This piece is truly a showstopper! This showcased very well my student's ability to play "as fast as she could" at our recital last month. Very fun.

What a fantastic piece! It has been such a thrill playing it in my free time! The fast and flashy tune is so addictive that I know it will be a hit to many of my students! This is a music library must have!

I purchased this piece for a few students that could use more practicing. Having taught for many years and already having wonderful collection of pedagogical materials, I wasn't sure how this would go over with my students. Amazingly, after I played Whirlwind for my students, they said they were willing to practice extra to learn it! I was worried about the seemingly complicated rhythms and hemiola, but to my surprise, my students took to it instantly! This piece also comes with a few extra pages of explanation about hemiola and whirling dervishes, which the piece is about. These are welcome inclusions! Lovely presentation!

This piece is fantastic. I have had a few students ( mostly teenagers) who were wavering about quitting, I gave them this piece and they had a blast with it. It came in the nick of time because, it's a real game changer. They love the fast tempo which sounds elaborate but isn't as hard as it appears. I'm so thankful Jennifer went to Turkey and got motivated to compose this song, Yay and thanks! I love playing this, also!

One of my students was only doing piano because he “had” to. This piece(and others on this site) awakened an interest in playing he didn’t have before. At Piano Pronto, we are finding pieces he actually likes and now he is practicing much more. He likes “Whirlwind” because it is fast and fun for his fingers! “Whirlwind” is a showy piece and sounds a lot harder than it is. The hand over hand adds a little flair at the end. This is a piece his friends think is cool!
