I gave this piece to a student who chose it for a recital this spring. She loves it so much that she learned it in one week! (Trust me, that was not a normal occurrence, to learn a song nearly perfectly in one week!) Just goes to prove once again, that terrific repertoire makes all the difference in motivating learning at the piano!

I am using this piece with my student who ha struggled with dynamics and it has worked like a charm. It is simple and beautiful so the extras of phrasing and dynamics really add another layer and allow the student to understand the beginning of music interpretation. Forest Raindrops is such a beautiful minor piece! I love how much expression students can use with his piece, along with the different dynamics. It has such a cool, mysterious sound! Wonderful!
