About the arranger
Lisa Donovan Lukas
Lisa Donovan Lukas holds a Bachelor’s degree in Music Composition from the University of Southern California’s Thornton School of Music. She worked for many years as a proofreader-copyist for film composers at Universal Studios, Warner Brothers, Disney, and JoAnn Kane Music Service. A prolific composer/lyricist and lifelong pianist, Lisa maintains an active piano studio where she enjoys teaching piano, music composition, and songwriting.

I have had this book in hardcopy waiting in a student's file since last year, waiting for the coming holiday season. She loves the Nutcracker and is at the perfect level to enjoy this collection this year. She is loving the arrangements with enough detail to be true to the original and satisfying to play. I'm also grateful to be able to download a digital copy for my reference since I am teaching online this year.

So excited to see this book available - I already have 3 students that want to start learning in it as soon as they can get it (September) and be ready for Christmas concerts! I love the arrangements for piano that capture the beautiful complexity of the songs and yet easy enough for piano student to learn and enjoy.
