I needed a recital piece for a struggling student, and this one more than captivated him. He has some issues with focus and anxiety, and when I played this for him, he melted into a calm state and said as much! When he played this at the recital, I think I received more compliments on his piece than the rest of the pieces. He performed it again at my outdoor recital on my Clavinova and still got the positive comments! Sometimes simple is best!

I had a little guy who loves owls and only wanted to play music having to do with owls. He loved this piece!

I really like this one! It is very accessible for beginners, but it sounds really cool. Also, it provides an opportunity to teach new ideas such as fermatas and 8va to beginners who likely haven't encountered them.

Single-handedly haunting and captivating. (See what I did there?) A great Halloween piece for beginners in general, not just beginners who are temporarily one-handed. Lots of expression with just a few notes. Word to the wise: this piece is not as effective with digital pianos. It's still a great piece for the right hand, but you won't get the whole overtone effect.
