I love this piece! It so unique and imaginative! Very fun piece to play!

I am beyond thrilled that this piece is finally available. When I approached Travis Lohmann to write this music it was for a student of mine. She was a strong intermediate, and wanted something to play that reflected the rush of crashing waves and the calm that ensued from watching them. I told Travis my request, and added an additional personal request also. I asked him if there was any way that he could write the music in Eb Major and modulate to A minor. I knew Eb Major was very bright and lyrical and A minor was edgy and mysterious. I thought that these conflicting key signatures could produce explosive results. and have the the interpretation I was looking for. Travis listened to my suggestions and allowed me to continue to consult with him. I found him to be very driven, precise and dissatisfied with anything less than perfection. Travis created a masterpiece with strong imagery; as well as a progressive storyline. The final result was extraordinary and more than I had ever hoped for. Teachers everywhere will be delighted in the vast array of usable skills they can offer their students through this piece of music. The versatility and adaptability makes it appropriate for a wide range of students. Wistful Waters has an invigorating yet poetic melody. It is a perfect piece to play to wind down the day as well as a flashy showpiece. It is sure to become a fast favorite. Travis Lohmann's work shines more brightly than ever in this astounding and elegant composition. I can't thank him enough for doing this for me.
