Spider's in my Bed is a favorite in my studio. Students love the drama and humor of the piece. Lots of teaching concepts that are part of the story for student's to experience--changing from major to minor, 3/4 to 4/4 time signature change which leaves one unsettled, hand over hand arpeggios, the imagery of an unexpected spider and the flailing that ensues. So much fun and sounds harder than it is! Plus a Canadian composer--what's not to love.

Such an interesting rhythm and sound mix up (I just love major/minor shifts!), and yet accessible at the same time. I know exactly whom I'm going to give this one to! ;D

I love this piece! I love the elements of surprise. I know my students will like it too!!
