Roadtrip! is a lateral series for students ages 4 and up. The series is flexible and fun allowing lots of room for creativity both on and off the bench. All four books in the series feature eighteen multi-key, primer level songs, written on the staff, that can be taught by rote, note, or finger number. We suggest starting with Roadtrip: Outdoor Adventure and highly recommend purchasing the Teacher Guidebook which has comprehensive lesson plans and teacher duets for all the pieces in the student book.

We suggest the following order of books: Outdoor Adventure, To the Lake, To the Farm, Country Carnival.

We purposely opted for cleanliness in the Roadtrip! student books so they don’t include any instructions. The Teacher Guidebooks are highly recommended as they provide comprehensive lesson plans for every piece in the correlating student book, contemporary teacher duets, off-bench activity suggestions, and much more so you can be the best tour guide possible!

After completing any of the Roadtrip! books, students can move into Piano Pronto: Keyboard Kickoff. If you have a student who wants to continue with more Roadtrip! full-time fun, the Rockstar Rally songbooks feature favorites from the Roadtrip! series notated on a full grand staff and have the teacher duets included in the same book. For late beginners, Roadtrip: Space Odyssey is a fun supplement!

Rising Starz Volumes 1 & 2 are ideal supplements for Roadtrip! students. For holiday music, use the First Christmas Solos book.
