Question:
Is Piano Pronto an All-in-One course?
Jennifer Eklund

Pinned question
Answer:
Not exactly, but it’s pretty close! Each book in the Piano Pronto series includes pieces, explanations about musical concepts and terminology, written music theory exercises, and Pronto Prep sections to help instill the importance of section work. If you want to dive deeper into music theory we suggest using the correlating Power Pages books that include written theory, ear training, technique exercises, composition prompts, and much more. Power Pages books are available up through Piano Pronto: Movement 3.

My student is always excited to see what song is next in this book. I like the varied selections.

Audio recordings are excellent tools. They allow the listener to assess the accuracy of an assigned selection, and can give reassurance when the music matches the student's version :) My students enjoy the beautiful recordings, and find that these help with their confidence and excitement. Thank you for offering this! I know putting it together was a huge project. :)

I just had an 8th grade boy move into Movement 4 (He has already completed Movement 3). He is all excited about all of the Opera themes that he has been playing! Who knew??? And he also loves the supplementsl solos. They are "So cool". Middle School years are tough for piano kids sometimes, and these books reach them like no others have in my experience. Thank you!

Very well-done arrangements in the upper levels of Piano Pronto! There is a little bit of every genre in here and my teens enjoy them! I love that the pages are “clean” too – nothing cutsie for older students, and we can use stickers and colored markers to make them colorful for the younger kids if we want to!
